Welcome to my portfolio!

Hiyas, I’m Holly Ashbourne (she/her), a librarian with over 15 years of experience in Canadian post-secondary institutions. I design learning experiences that are clear, engaging and accessible. With a background as a librarian and educator, I bring expertise in organizing information, creating user-friendly content and supporting diverse learning needs. My instructional design work focuses on transforming complex ideas into practical, inclusive resources using creative strategies and technology. I believe technology is a powerful tool for shaping learning, and I use it to create innovative solutions that make education more interactive and equitable. Collaboration is at the heart of what I do, and I love partnering with faculty and other subject matter experts to develop solutions that make learning meaningful for everyone.

Equity and inclusion are core to my approach. I am committed to championing human rights in gender and sexuality, diversity, Indigenization, antiracism and disability. These values guide how I design, communicate and connect with learners and colleagues.

Outside of work, I enjoy life’s simple pleasures like coffee, naps and time outdoors, whether it is walking in nature or soaking up a sunrise.
